Next, take your bread slices (or cubed stale bread) and scatter them evenly at the bottom of a greased baking dish.
The bread forms the base of the bake and soaks up the egg mixture, creating a rich texture.
In a separate bowl, crack all six eggs and whisk them together until the yolks and whites are fully combined.
Add a pinch of salt and pepper to the eggs and continue whisking until the mixture is smooth.
